{Happy Halloween}

{Our Pumpkins}
I just love celebrating this haunted holiday, and it brings back such fond memories of my childhood.  My parents have always made every holiday so special and magical for us, and I will never forget them making all of our cleverly cute Halloween costumes every year...I remember it like it was yesterday, and my sister and I were always sooooo thrilled about wearing our costumes as long as we could. :) You can head on over to this post if you would like to read a little more about those special times!

I'm so thankful I have such fond memories that always make me smile around the holidays, and I love making new ones along the way that I can add to my never-ending list of cherished moments.  Speaking of making new memories, we had our Halloween Party on Saturday night which will always be a night we'll remember...Ghosts, goblins, and good times with great friends...It doesn't get much better than that!!

In the spirit of the season, here are a few Halloween-inspired fun finds that caught my eye this past week...
{1. Trick or Treat Halloween Print by Coco Prints 2. Gingerbread Skeletons 3. Witch's Broom Printable by Crafts & Sutch 4. Paula Deen's Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake 5. Tory Burch Leather Logo Buckle Bracelets}

I hope your day has been filled with spooky tricks and scrumptious treats, and I can't wait to hear how you celebrate this haunted holiday.  Have a great night!!

Katherine

{Weekend Words + Household Tricks & Treats}

TGIF and welcome to the weekend {almost}!

In honor of this fabulous Friday, I wanted to share a little something with you that will hopefully brighten your day and give you a little more pep in your step. :)  I hung this quote over my desk, and it's just the reminder I need to live my life to the fullest...And remember, life's too short not to make every day a good day.

My hubby and I have a busy weekend ahead filled with charity events and Halloween parties, but I'll definitely be finding some time in our hectic schedule to tidy up our house.

Blogging has truly become a passion of mine, and my exciting journey through the blogosphere has led me to so many wonderful new friends who are full of helpful and insightful information.  Included in my list of daily reads are blogs specializing in and focusing on organization techniques and tips that help motivate and improve your lifestyle, and I have really fallen in love with numerous home organization bloggers.

First up on my list of faves is Jen from IHeart Organizing.  She never ceases to amaze me, and I can't wait to show you all of the successful projects I have completed thanks to her inspiration...My first accomplishment has been the completion of our Family Management Binder, which I will be unveiling in an upcoming post.  In the meantime, check out Jen's post on how to start your own.

Next up on my list of organization gurus is Becky from Organizing Made Fun.  Her daily tips truly inspire me, and I love all of her clear and concise explanations of easy techniques to improve your lifestyle.  For instance, who would have thought that it's totally possible to keep your house tidy with just 15 minutes of cleaning a day?  I sure didn't until I read this fabulous post, and it has definitely served as a helpful checklist to keep me on track.  Hope it helps you too! :)
{Organizing Made Fun}
I want to leave you with one more site that is filled with some amazingly helpful information, and I bet you will fall in love at first glance just like I did! ;)  I'm sure many of you may already be avid fans and followers of Real Simple, but if you aren't click here to check it out now.
{Real Simple}
Be sure to visit one of my fave finds from Real Simple...Hidden Tricks to get your house sparkling.  These are so fun {or maybe I'm just weird like that and get overly excited about cleaning tricks}!!

In honor of Halloween, I leave you with these "tricks and treats" {not the candy kind, more like the cleaning kind}, and I hope they bring some inspiration to your lives just as they did mine.

Enjoy, and happy organizing!!

Katherine

{It's the Little Things...Family & Friends}

Hello my lovely friends and followers!!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your Fall season thus far!  I have personally been quite busy lately, and my month has been filled with tons of fabulous events and occasions celebrated with my family and friends.

I have recently returned home after traveling for the past few weeks, and I'm now attempting to adhere to my "normal" daily schedule that I happily abandoned while I was away. :)  I must admit that this task has been a bit of a challenge, and I find myself missing the special things {and people} by whom I was surrounded throughout my travels.  I have spent the past few days reflecting on my life, my loved ones, and all the things that are near and dear to my heart, and I'm so incredibly thankful for each and every one of them.

As always, I have found great comfort in reading my friend Lindsay's blog, From the Aisle to Aloha, and her "It's the Little Things" blog series inspired me so much during a week when I needed it most.  Thank you, Lindsay, for your touching posts and for your love and appreciation of the little things in life...

Aisle to Aloha
It is my pleasure to link up to Lindsay's Link Party today, and it warms my heart to share with you the little things that made me smile this week...

...My Daddy.  He is my best friend and my hero, and he's always there for me...no matter what.  Thank you, Daddy, for drying my tears this week, for helping me smile again, and for knowing that cupcakes for lunch and Gamecock giggles were exactly what I needed to cheer me up on a gloomy day. :)
...Reflecting on the quality time spent with family and friends throughout the past few weeks and the special moments I shared with my little munchkins {my friends' kids who truly mean the world to me}.
...Welcoming my beautiful sister and my new brother-in-law home from their honeymoon and reminiscing about their perfect wedding weekend.
...Memories of our wedding...So fresh on my mind after standing in our church watching my sister walk down the aisle.
...Fall pops of color and pumpkin carving with my husband for Halloween.
These little things have made me smile this week, and just the thought of them has truly brightened my day.

What are the little things in your life that have made YOU happy this week?  I would love to hear them, and I wish you all the best for a fabulous and fun weekend!!

xoxo,
Katherine
