{Easter Egg Ideas}

March 26, 2014

The season of Easter makes me happy for so many reasons, and I always love celebrating it every year. I have so many fond childhood memories of Easter, and I can only hope to provide our sweet little Kate with those same happy experiences.  I loved waking up and discovering our baskets from the Easter bunny, picking out the perfect Easter dress, spending the day at church with my family, excitedly searching for Easter eggs on the many "hunts" that my parents set up for us, but one of my all time favorite memories is dying eggs as we gathered around our dining room table.  I'm smiling as I type this post because it takes me right back to my wonderful childhood. :)

Forrest and I keep this tradition alive by dying Easter eggs together every year, but this year will be even more special because our little girl can sit at the table with us and join in the fun.  Although I'm going to do the traditional, kid-friendly egg dying kit for my girl, I thought I would try out some new designs and techniques to add a festive touch to my Easter decor.  I never knew there were so many cool ways to decorate hard-boiled eggs, and I can't wait to try some of these out.  As a matter of fact, I have a pot of eggs boiling on my stove as we speak. :)  Let the fun begin!!
