{good eats: dutch pancake}

May 11, 2011

I sure do love delicious food, and I've decided to start sharing some of my favorite recipes on my blog for all of you to test and taste in your very own kitchens. :)

I get the majority of my recipes from my wonderful parents who have instilled in me a love for cooking and who have taught me everything I know about it.  All the recipes in my "Good Eats" series are tried and true, tested and approved by yours truly, and I hope you enjoy them as well!

First upThe Dutch Pancake.
This dish is super simple, so quick, and it makes for a pretty and perfect breakfast entree. Try it out and let me know what you think!

DUTCH PANCAKE
Ingredients
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter

Combine the first 5 ingredients; mix well.  Melt butter in 10 or 12-inch oven-proof dish in 400 degree oven.  Pour batter over melted butter; Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Serve immediately with your favorite syrup {I warm mine before serving}, a sprinkling of white, powdered sugar, and if you prefer, fresh fruit or preserves.

Simple and so scrumptious!!  Enjoy!

xoxo,
Katherine
