I'm super excited about this particular blog post, and I'm thrilled to be able to participate in a blog activity hosted by one of my all-time, favorite sites.
The Blog Guidebook, a resourceful {and beautiful} blog created and maintained by two sweet young ladies, has provided me with enormous amounts of inspiration and guidance as I continue on my journey through the blog world, and I can always count on them for blogging support. This awesome site has become a daily stop of mine in my web travels, and I always look forward to hearing from the lovely ladies at TBG.
As I was making my routine rounds on the web today, a fun request caught my eye. The folks at The Blog Guidebook are on a mission to discover exactly how, why, and where we bloggers "blog", and I'm thrilled to assist in their quest by contributing to the challenge and telling my story. Here's where it all began…
My journey to finding blogging bliss has been such a fun one, and I'm so very thankful that I have discovered this strong passion that was buried before.
I have always loved computers, and the creative crafter in me started to crave some hands-on graphic design dabbling. I had always been interested in starting my own blog, but it took me a while to whole-heartedly commit to the project. My very own blog…That was just what I needed to fulfill my design desires while at the same time sharing our newlywed journeys with family and friends, and I was on a mission to make it fabulous.
The more tutorials I read on the process of designing a blog, the more I realized how tedious a task this would be. I spent every second of my spare time researching and studying any and all blog tutorials, graphic design handbooks, HTML/CSS Code Implementation guides, etc., and I finally took the plunge and published my first blog post about 6 months after I began my research.
My blissful blog was born on January 27, 2011, and I will never forget how happy, proud, and rewarding that day was for me. I didn't realize it then, but my life would be forever changed in so many positive ways thanks to my creation of {Southern Bliss…Sealed with a Kiss}!
The past 4 months have flown by, and, although it has been a whirlwind, I'm quite pleased with my blog thus far. I'm learning new tips and techniques everyday, and I have found such pleasure and contentment in this new "blogging chapter" of my life. It's hard to put in words how much I adore this new blogging community, and this is just a short list of simple pleasures Southern Bliss has brought to my days. I wake up everyday looking forward to the time I get to spend with my computer and a cup of coffee, and there is nothing more peaceful than reflecting on my thoughts and memories and sharing them with all of you.
My blog content varies on a daily basis, and it tends to range anywhere from Fashion, Food, Friends, Family, and Fun Finds. I simply write what's on my mind, and I typically settle into my "blogging spot" depending on the mood I'm in. I find bliss while I'm blogging in various locations, and I like to switch up my surroundings every now and then…It keeps me engaged, and I always seem to find new inspiration with a change in scenery.
I can {most recently} be found blogging from my patio, porch swing, or cozy couch at our new house in Murrells Inlet, and I find myself blogging about my southern roots when I'm surrounded by the salty air and signature scent of the marsh…Pure bliss!!

If I'm not in MI, I can most likely be found at the desk in my home office or in the living room enjoying my sweet husband's company as I write and reflect on my thoughts. One thing is for sure...No matter where I am, I always find so much bliss when I can get lost in my blog. :)
